He argues the entire proposal was drafted in Washington, handed to Pakistan's ISI by the CIA, and then passed to Iran to create the illusion that Islamabad was brokering on Tehran's behalf. Iran never requested a pause, and as recently as Monday reiterated its 10-point position that Steve Witkoff described as a catastrophe the US could not possibly accept. Macgregor reveals that Iran still holds at least 15,000 missiles and 45,000 unmanned systems in its arsenal, with manufacturing capacity untouched, and has lost perhaps only 50% of its mobile launchers which are replaceable. Meanwhile, the US produces roughly 10 missiles a week, operates 6,000 miles from home, and has no surge manufacturing capacity. China produces 1,000 rocket motors a day and is actively resupplying Iran alongside Russia. He explains why the strategic initiative has always been with Iran, not the US. Iran is a continental power of 93 million people, surrounded by mountains, bordered by deserts, and has never been successfully conquered since Alexander the Great. The US went in expecting rapid regime change based on Israeli promises. The regime didn't fall. The military didn't crumble. The air campaign has been largely futile. And because Iran cannot be conquered and regime change has failed, Macgregor says the only remaining Israeli objective is to destroy Iranian society and seize control of the oil fields, something the rest of the world will not support. He also addresses the deeper question Americans keep missing: why are we doing this at all? Macgregor argues there is no strategic justification for US involvement, that the war exists entirely because the Israel lobby owns the Senate, the House, the White House, and Trump's key advisers, and that Trump's heart was never in this. Israel started the war and the US was grudgingly dragged into it. Now Trump is caught in an escalatory trap with no way to accept Iran's 10 points without divorcing himself from Israel. This interview was recorded as the ceasefire's first 48 hours saw the Strait of Hormuz remain closed, Iran accuse the US of three violations, Israel strike 100 Hezbollah targets in 10 minutes killing over 250 people in Lebanon which declared a national day of mourning, and Witkoff and Kushner head to Islamabad despite Iran previously asking they not be sent. 📚 Sources cited in this video: • U.S. Energy Information Administration, Strait of Hormuz https://eia.gov/todayinenergy/detail.php?id=39932 • International Energy Agency, Oil Market Report https://iea.org/reports/oil-market-report • CSIS, Strait of Hormuz and Global Energy Security https://csis.org/analysis/strait-of-hormuz • Congressional Research Service, Iran's Ballistic Missile and Space Launch Programs https://sgp.fas.org/crs/nuke/IF12459.pdf ⚠️ DISCLAIMER: This channel provides geostrategy commentary and analysis for educational and informational purposes only.
