Japanese firm Remixpoint, active in the energy and crypto sectors, has announced that its CEO will receive 100% of his salary in Bitcoin. This marks the first time in Japan that a public company’s executive opts entirely for crypto-based compensation. The move reflects growing interest in Bitcoin across the country. Remixpoint already engages in crypto services through its subsidiary, BITPoint Japan. The company said the decision aims to demonstrate its commitment to Web3 and digital innovation. The salary will be calculated in Japanese yen and then converted to Bitcoin at the time of payment. Remixpoint believes this approach could boost public trust in cryptocurrencies and support broader adoption in Japan.
