Kazakhstan approved the Rules for Implementing Strategic Digital Mining, creating a new framework that connects electricity access with contributions to the country’s national cryptocurrency reserve.

Under the regulations, qualified digital mining companies can receive electricity quotas at capped tariffs for up to 10 years. In return, participants must transfer part of their mined digital assets to the Astana Hub Autonomous Cluster Fund.
