Pantera Leads Locked WLD Token Sale

World Foundation, the nonprofit steward of the World protocol, completed a $52.5 million strategic sale of WLD tokens. All tokens purchased in the transaction carry a one-year lockup, limiting immediate market circulation.

Pantera Capital led the first close of the sale. Bain Capital Crypto, Eightco Holdings, Selini Capital, Susquehanna Crypto, and other investors also joined the round.

The foundation said the tokens sold are intended for use within World Network. The tokens do not represent equity, profit rights, or return claims tied to Tools for Humanity, the for-profit company behind World’s hardware and software.
