1inch said August 27 that security researchers submitted 1,055 reports across six core HackenProof bug bounty programs during the first half of 2026. Of those submissions, 32 resulted in payouts, making continuous external testing a central part of 1inchโ€™s security strategy as the company expands its DeFi infrastructure.

The programs covered 1inch Smart Contract, Wallet, Web, Business, Infrastructure and Aqua. Aqua drew the most activity with 472 submissions from 217 researchers, while nine vulnerabilities received rewards, including one high-severity issue. Logic inconsistencies, execution edge cases and tooling problems were among the flaws identified, all of which 1inch said have since been resolved.

The update launches 1inchโ€™s new biannual bug bounty reporting format in collaboration with HackenProof, with the first edition focused heavily on Aqua. As traditional finance moves further onchain, 1inch is positioning transparent vulnerability reporting as part of its institutional-grade security framework, alongside ISO 27001 certification and SOC 2 Type 1 attestation.
