Akamai Technologies stock jumped more than 13% in pre-market trading on Friday after the company posted Q2 2026 results and announced a landmark AI infrastructure contract worth over $600 million.

The stock was trading at $127.65 in pre-market, up 7.7% at that point, and has now advanced 36% year-to-date. It had been trading well below its 52-week high of $165.45 before the announcement, having previously recovered from a low of $69.78.
Adjusted EPS came in at $1.59, just above the Wall Street consensus of $1.57 to $1.58. Revenue grew 5% year-over-year to $1.1 billion, matching or slightly ahead of analyst forecasts of $1.09 billion.
