AMD priced a $4.75 billion bond offering on Monday to fund its push into AI and data center markets. The stock closed at $514.13, up 6.5% on the day.
Advanced Micro Devices, Inc., AMD
The debt deal is AMD’s largest-ever U.S. dollar bond financing. Part of the proceeds will cover $875 million in bonds maturing next month.
The move comes off the back of AMD’s Advancing AI event, where management lifted its projection for the total AI chips market to $1.4 trillion by 2030.
AMD is up 130% year-to-date. It is still trading about 12% below its 52-week high of $580.91 set in June 2026.
Analysts have taken notice. Baird issued a price target of $1,250, citing AMD’s AI accelerator and data center businesses. Jefferies set a $650 target, and Argus raised its target to $625 with a buy rating.
