A Bitcoin (BTC) wallet that had remained inactive since 2011 moved nearly 50 BTC worth about $3.2 million on Thursday, sending the funds to an address with past links to FalconX deposits. The transfer drew attention because the wallet had held the coins for more than 15 years without spending them.
Galaxy Research said the wallet received 49.97 BTC on July 16, 2011, when Bitcoin traded near $10. The coins stayed untouched through several market cycles, exchange failures and sharp price swings before moving on Aug. 6.
