Luminis Health is investigating a cybersecurity incident that has left certain systems unavailable at its two Maryland hospitals.

The health system says it is working with legal counsel and third-party experts after detecting the issue earlier this week.

The attack has impacted Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis and Luminis Health Doctors Community Medical Center in Lanham.

Luminis Health issued an official statement on the incident.

Access to MyChart and other online portals remains down.

Some patients have been rerouted to other hospitals or had appointments canceled.

Luminis Health has not confirmed the cause or whether patient records were accessed.

A patient message directs questions about appointments to 443-222-0193 during business hours.

The organization continues to prioritize safe patient care while the investigation proceeds.
