NYSE is advancing a tokenized securities platform designed to support round-the-clock trading and immediate blockchain-based settlement across regulated markets. NYSE wants to connect established securities markets with onchain infrastructure while preserving shareholder rights and existing safeguards. President Lynn Martin presented the strategy during an August 10 capital markets seminar in Seoul for lawmakers and business leaders.

NYSE Builds Platform for Tokenized Securities

Intercontinental Exchange first announced the planned digital trading venue in January as part of a broader market modernization effort. The platform will combine the NYSE Pillar matching engine with blockchain infrastructure for post-trade settlement and digital asset administration. Subject to regulatory approval, it will support tokenized stocks, exchange-traded funds, fractional shares, and dollar-denominated orders for market participants.
