Oracle (ORCL) fell 3.69% while Quantinuum (QNT) dipped 0.94% on the day the two companies announced a multi-year partnership to bring quantum computing into Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
Under the deal, Quantinuum’s Helios quantum computer will be available directly to OCI customers through Oracle’s new quantum service. Users will not need to own or operate any quantum hardware themselves.
Helios will be deployed inside a U.S.-based OCI AI data center. It will sit alongside Oracle’s existing high-performance computing and GPU systems, letting users run quantum, AI, and classical workloads from a single platform.
