Why Bernstein is Giving Microsoft Stock a Price Target of $660

Microsoft stock (NASDAQ: MSFT) opened Wednesday’s trading session at $494 and has been range-bound for over a month. MSFT has been touching the $500 level and sliding back to the $480 range. The flip-flop in price is testing the patience of investors, as returns have been dwindling since August. The development puts the software giant under the radar, as negative returns are emerging despite generating robust revenues after every quarterly earnings call.
On the heels of the ongoing price grind, asset management firm Bernstein explained why it provided a price prediction for Microsoft stock with a new bullish target of $660. Mark Moerdler, the Managing Director and Senior Research Analyst covering Global Software, reiterated his buy rating for MSFT on Tuesday (September 8, 2026). The analyst provided the most bullish price prediction, placing MSFT at a new target of $660. That’s almost $165 profit per share if traders take an entry position today.
