Sizing Is a Fraction, Not a Figure

The useful way to think about stake size is as a proportion of the balance you have set aside, not as an absolute number.

A unit is a single stake expressed as a share of that balance. Setting a unit at 1% of a 200 balance makes each round a 2 stake and gives roughly 100 rounds before the balance is exhausted at flat play, before any wins are counted. Setting it at 5% gives roughly 20.

Flat staking means keeping the unit constant regardless of what happened on the previous round. It is the neutral baseline against which every other approach should be measured, and it is the only one that makes session length predictable.
