Binance’s Push Into US Stock Options Shows How Far It Has Moved Beyond Crypto

A Binance account, once associated mainly with crypto trading, now gives eligible users several routes into traditional markets.

The latest addition, options on more than 1,000 selected US stocks and ETFs for non-US users, extends a line-up that already includes direct stocks and ETFs, tokenised securities and equity-linked perpetual futures.

The product launched in partnership with a US-registered broker-dealer, Alpaca Securities LLC aligns with the broader trend of pivoting toward super apps that can meet users’ demand for multi-asset exposure.

According to Binance, TradFi perpetual futures volume on its platform reached approximately $433.4 billion in August 2026, about 15 times the January level.

"Stock options are an important next step in Binance’s evolution into a fuller multi-asset platform,” Shunyet Jan, Head of Exchange and Trading at Binance said.

“By adding options on selected U.S. stocks and ETFs, we are expanding the tools available to users who want to participate in equity markets, manage exposure, and access strategies that have historically been offered through traditional brokers.”
