Bitdeer Expands Bitcoin Mining With 28 MW Texas Deal Amid AI Shift
Bitdeer Technologies Group formalized a strategic 28-megawatt (MW) co-mining partnership with Soluna Holdings to add approximately 1.93 EH/s to the network at the wind-powered Project Kati 1 data center, located in southern Texas. Through its subsidiary Dory Creek, the company will deploy its Sealminer A2 Pro Air rigs under a revenue-sharing framework, avoiding land acquisitions or extended electrical interconnection delays.
This agreement stands out against the broader industry trend, where various operators are redirecting their power capacity toward artificial intelligence (AI). Although Bitdeer is also expanding its global high-performance computing capacity, it maintains a steady revenue stream through Bitcoin mining, leveraging operational facilities and maximizing the performance of its proprietary, next-generation hardware.
The joint model makes it possible to monetize existing renewable energy without halting the parallel development of technological infrastructure. The next phase involves phased batch installations starting in September 2026 to solidify the agreed operational capacity.
