According to the portal Onet, Kral is seeking a reduced sentence in exchange for testimony that could include details about the platform’s financing of right-wing politicians. Prosecutors estimate that clients lost at least 2.4 billion Polish złotys, equivalent to approximately $650 million.

According to the investigations, Zondacrypto used only a portion of its users’ funds to purchase cryptocurrencies, while the remainder was transferred to private accounts controlled by its executives. Onet also reported that Kral conducted informal negotiations with prosecutors in Poland, Sicily and Gulf countries over six months, exploring the terms of a possible agreement.
