Baidu (BIDU) announced Thursday it will upgrade its Hong Kong listing from secondary to primary status, effective September 1. The companyโs Hong Kong-listed stock (HK:9888) jumped more than 6% on the news.
The move gives Baidu a dual primary listing across both the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and Nasdaq. Previously, Nasdaq held the primary listing designation.
