Bitcoin ETF assets neared $100 billion while the price slid below $80,000

Investors put $314.37 million into U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs yesterday. More than 90% of it, or $284.42 million, went to BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT).

U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs drew money for a seventh straight day, lifting combined net assets to $99.05 billion.

IBIT left $29.95 million for four rival funds

IBIT took $284.42 million. The four other funds that drew money split $29.95 million between them.

Fidelity’s FBTC took in $15.45 million, Grayscale’s Bitcoin Mini Trust $6.98 million, Morgan Stanley’s MSBT $4.52 million, and Bitwise’s BITB $3 million. No funds were bleeding money that day.

In January, Cryptopolitan reported that IBIT controlled almost 70% of spot bitcoin ETF trading volume and had more than $66 billion in assets under management.

Across the spot bitcoin funds, total net assets reached $99.05 billion, just short of $100 billion, on a total trading value of $3.52 billion. The week’s seven sessions collected $2.57 billion.

August inflows recorded $3.03 billion, leaving the funds $390 million just short of the monthly total for October 2025, with four trading days still to go.
