Webot’s CEO Says Today’s Trading Bot Is Blind. AI Is How It Learns to See

Webot hosted Beyond the Bot: How AI Is Rewiring Automated Trading. Automated trading is already widely used. The discussion was about how far AI should go inside a bot that already runs in the background, and what needs to be in place before it is allowed to do more.

Jay Hua, CEO of Webot US and a former vice president at Goldman Sachs, was the main speaker. He was joined by Alevtina Labyuk, chief strategic partnerships officer at BeInCrypto, who previously held marketing roles at companies including Visa; Abay Beyshenkulov, a partner at VComms, a PR firm that works with business and tech companies on media visibility; and Modern Mining, founder of the YouTube channel of the same name, who has run Webot grid bots for about three years.

The hour moved in a fairly straight line: first the market, then what AI is actually useful for, then what Webot plans to build.

What the market is doing now

Modern Mining kept the price discussion grounded. Bitcoin had been stuck for months and then finally moved higher. He did not rule out a short-term pullback, and he also did not sound finished with Bitcoin.
