Crypto Sentiment Hits Extreme Greed as Bitcoin Rally Revives Investor Confidence

Crypto sentiment has climbed into “extreme greed” for the first time since late 2024, signaling a sharp turnaround in investor mood.
The CoinMarketCap Crypto Fear and Greed Index rose to 81 on Sunday and held 80 on Monday, up from about 36 a month earlier. The 45-point jump shows how quickly investors have turned more bullish on digital assets.
Bitcoin Leads the Sentiment Shift
Bitcoin rose about 22% over the past week, taking its share of the crypto market to 59.7%. Ethereum held 11.2%.

The rally has also brought more money into leveraged bets. Open interest in perpetual futures reached $431.93 billion. Bitcoin’s implied volatility was 45.36%, compared with 60.58% for Ethereum.
