Strategy (MSTR) to Contribute $250 Annually to Trump Accounts of its Employees’ Children

Michael Saylor’s Strategy (MSTR) says it will begin contributing $250 annually to the Trump accounts for every eligible child of its US employees. Per a press release, Strategy will match the government’s $1,000 Trump Account seed and add $250 yearly for employees’ children.
For children born on or after January 1, 2025, Strategy will also add a one-time $1,000 contribution, matching the seed amount the U.S. Treasury already deposits for newborns enrolled in the program. Strategy employers can add their own contributions on top, within limits set by the Internal Revenue Code. The intelligence company’s program is designed to go further than most by covering all eligible children, not just newborns.
Trump Accounts, also known as 530A accounts, are tax-deferred investment accounts for children under 18 invested in low-fee U.S. index funds. Children born between 2025 and 2028 receive a one-time $1,000 contribution from the U.S. Treasury upon enrollment.
