Gemini has expanded XRP support in Singapore, allowing eligible users to deposit and withdraw XRP directly through the XRP Ledger.
The move gives Singapore customers greater control over their XRP while connecting Gemini accounts with external XRPL addresses. It also expands the exchange’s blockchain transfer capabilities beyond trading and custody services.
Gemini Enables Native XRP Ledger Transfers
Gemini co-founder and CEO Tyler Winklevoss announced the rollout on Aug. 25, describing it as significant news for XRP users across Asia.
Eligible Singapore customers can now transfer XRP between Gemini and compatible external wallets through the XRP Ledger. Previously, the exchange’s local offering centered mainly on buying, selling, and storing digital assets.
The new functionality therefore provides a direct connection between Gemini customers and XRPL infrastructure. Users can transfer XRP to self-custody wallets or other supported platforms without relying solely on Gemini’s internal ecosystem.
