Hashdex Ends DEFI Bitcoin ETF With Final Trading Day Set for August 17
Hashdex will close and liquidate its DEFI Bitcoin ETF, marking another shift in the competitive U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF market. The fund will end trading on August 17 after attracting limited assets despite growing interest in digital investment products.
The decision reflects Hashdexโs broader effort to refine its product lineup and focus on strategies with stronger investor demand. Although the ETF will disappear, the asset manager will continue serving U.S. investors through its remaining investment offerings, which collectively manage more than $200 million.
Timeline for Investors
Investors can trade DEFI shares on NYSE Arca until the market closes on August 17. Additionally, the fund will stop processing new creation orders after trading ends that day. Consequently, the exchange will remove the ETF from its listings immediately afterward.
