Baidu (BIDU) shares expanded its autonomous driving business in Dubai by launching fully driverless Apollo Go rides through Uber. The service gives riders another route to access autonomous vehicles across selected parts of the city. Meanwhile, Baidu stock closed 2.20% higher at $92.87 before easing 0.13% to $92.75 pre-market.
Baidu Brings Apollo Go Driverless Rides to Uber
Apollo Go vehicles are now available through Uber in selected areas of Umm Suqeim and Jumeirah. New Horizon Luxury Transport operates the fleet supporting the initial service across those locations. Dubai becomes the first market under Baidu and Uber’s broader autonomous vehicle partnership.
