Bitcoin developer Calle said that a globally distributed, 16-person security team filed 4,962 findings across 390 Bitcoin-related projects in 27.5 hours. The review classified 85 issues as critical and 635 as high severity, putting the scale of unresolved software risk at the center of growing codebase concerns.

The coordinated audit combines AI-assisted analysis with manual security work. Calle said researchers are still guiding the models directly while improving automated testing harnesses, and the team is averaging 2.31 high- and critical-severity findings per person per hour.
