BTCPay Server Offers 10% Bounty for Recovered Merchant Bitcoin
BTCPay Server said that friends and supporters of the project committed to fund a recovery bounty after Bitcoin was stolen from merchants through a recently exploited vulnerability. The offer pays 10% of successfully recovered funds, capped at 3 BTC, making asset recovery the immediate priority after the security incident.

The bounty is open to anyone who provides information leading to the return of funds, including the attacker. BTCPay also said it is donating 0.21 BTC each to security researcher Craig Raw and the Bitcoin Red Team for responsibly disclosing the critical vulnerability, placing recovery incentives alongside rewards for responsible security research.
