Swedish freight technology company Einride saw its stock jump more than 18% in premarket trading on Tuesday after announcing what it called the world’s largest Tesla Semi deployment.
The company plans to add 500 Tesla Semi trucks to its fleet over the next 24 months. The deal will triple its current fleet size, growing from around 250 vehicles to roughly 750.
The trucks will be fully financed by third parties. Einride said the deployment supports its efforts to convert around $800 million in potential long-term annual recurring revenue into active freight capacity.
