HYPE Enters the Big League: Hyperliquid Joins Bitcoin and XRP in Nasdaq CME Crypto Index
The institutional ecosystem marked a historic milestone after confirming that Hyperliquid (HYPE) officially joined the regulated Nasdaq CME Crypto Index. The move was formalized through a prospectus supplement for the Hashdex Nasdaq CME Crypto Index ETF (NCIQ) exchange-traded fund filed with the SEC, as a result of its scheduled quarterly rebalancing.
With this adjustment, HYPE debuts in the index with a 3.36% weighting, ranking immediately behind Bitcoin (74.36%), Ethereum (11.88%), XRP (5.21%), and Solana (3.79%). Its inclusion comes in response to meeting strict criteria for liquidity, capitalization, and secure custody in U.S. markets, where spot HYPE ETFs managed by giants like BlackRock and Fidelity already hold over $460 million in net assets.
The integration of Hyperliquid alongside the sector’s leading assets expands its institutional exposure, as any investor in the Hashdex fund now acquires direct allocation to the token. The market will closely watch the upcoming institutional inflow volumes that this rebalancing will drive into the HYPE ecosystem.
