OpenSea Adds Solana NFT Trading Four Years After Initial Beta

OpenSea announced on August 31 that users can now discover, buy and sell Solana NFTs alongside Solana tokens on its marketplace, marking the platform’s return to Solana NFT trading roughly four years after its initial beta. The company’s announcement says the support is part of the latest version of the marketplace.
OpenSea had already moved back onto the network through the staged OS2 rollout, which restored fungible-token trading before NFT support; its first Solana NFT test was in 2022.
OpenSea restores Solana NFT buying and selling
OpenSea said users can now discover, buy and sell Solana-based NFTs through its marketplace. The platform highlighted Claynosaurz, Mad Lads, Collector Crypt and Phygitals among the collections available at launch.
Solana joins a marketplace that OpenSea said now spans more than 25 blockchains. That framing presents the launch as part of a multichain product rather than a separate Solana-only exchange, with Solana NFTs and tokens both accessible on the same platform.
