World Chain Introduces Streaming Block Access Lists With Flashblocks
World Chain has become the first production Layer-2 network to deploy streaming Block Access Lists through Flashblocks. The upgrade allows validators to verify transactions while blocks are still under construction instead of waiting for completion.
Consequently, the network can process significantly higher throughput without demanding stronger validator hardware. The approach also supports the broader goal of scaling blockchain performance while preserving network efficiency and decentralization.
Parallel Validation Improves Network Performance
The new system divides each two-second block into 200-millisecond Flashblocks. Additionally, every Flashblock carries a matching Block Access List segment that identifies affected accounts and storage changes.
