SEC Pulls Aug. 14 Crypto Offering-Rules Vote at the Last Minute

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission cancelled its Open Meeting slated for 2026-08-14 at 10:00 AM ET. The Office of the Secretary posted the Sunshine Act cancellation notice on 2026-08-13, confirming the change.
The meeting had been scheduled to consider whether to issue a release proposing new rules to create a tailored offering regime for certain investment contracts involving crypto assets. With the cancellation, that item will not be taken up on 2026-08-14.
