Michael Saylor says Bitcoin passes what he calls the Bernard Arnault test, a rule he uses to decide whether an asset deserves serious money.

The Strategy executive chairman posted the argument on Monday in a short video clip on X, urging followers to think like a billionaire before committing capital.

Saylor Puts Bitcoin Through the Bernard Arnault Test

Bernard Arnault chairs LVMH Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy, the luxury group behind Louis Vuitton, Sephora and Tiffany & Co. The company owns 75 fashion and cosmetics labels. Forbes ranks Arnault 11th in the world with $142.3 billion.

Saylor borrows the name as shorthand for buyers at the very top of the wealth ladder. His test turns on a single question about future demand.

"Bitcoin passes the Bernard Arnault test. The Bernard Arnault test is this: I have a lot of money, what should I invest it in? I should buy something that someone richer than me, smarter than me, and more cultured than me will want to buy from me in ten years," Saylor said.
