Elizabeth Warren Pushes Senate to Delay CLARITY Act Over Key Crypto Risks

Sen. Elizabeth Warren called on the Senate to delay the Digital Asset Market CLARITY Act, saying lawmakers should first address concerns over corruption, consumer protection, national security and risks to the broader economy.
Speaking to Forbes on Wednesday, Warren said the bill should not advance before the August recess because it still lacks key safeguards.
“As far as I’ve heard, they’ve still not solved the problem of corruption, of consumer protection, of national security, or protecting our economy,” Warren said. “Until you solve those problems, I just don’t see how anyone, Democrat or Republican, moves forward on this bill.”
