Nomura’s Laser Digital Partners With Keyring to Bring Fixed Income Onchain
Laser Digital, the digital asset subsidiary of financial giant Nomura, reported a strategic partnership with Keyring Network to build institutional-grade onchain fixed income markets across decentralized finance (DeFi). According to Jez Mohideen, CEO of Laser Digital, and Alex McFarlane, founder of Keyring Network, the framework will initially launch on the lending protocol infrastructure of Euler Finance, enabling accredited investors to access transactions under rigorous compliance and risk management standards.
The initiative aims to address the traditional hurdles impeding institutional DeFi adoption: privacy, atomic settlements, and exploit mitigation. Through this integration, Keyring will provide the verification infrastructure powered by zero-knowledge proofs (ZK-proofs), while Laser Digital’s asset management arm will serve as the risk governor, structuring collateral parameters, portfolios, and creditworthiness criteria.
This development accelerates the convergence of traditional finance and Web3 by establishing predictable debt structures and rates directly via smart contracts. The next phase involves the phased rollout of these credit strategies on Euler Finance, followed by scaling the underlying infrastructure across additional partners and decentralized protocols.
