Nvidia Earnings Today: What Its Earnings Will Reveal About AI Bubble Risk
Nvidia reports second-quarter earnings today, after Wall Street's closing bell, guiding investors to roughly $91 billion in revenue.
The results will show whether AI spending is broadening or narrowing to a handful of buyers. Nvidia trades as the world's largest company by market value. Its graphics processing units supply most of the compute power behind AI training and inference today.
Customer concentration turns the report into a stress test
Nvidia's April quarterly filing showed three customers made up 21%, 17%, and 16% of total revenue. Those same three buyers accounted for 64% of accounts receivable combined.
The company began splitting hyperscaler revenue from other data center sales last quarter. Hyperscaler sales grew just 12% sequentially, while revenue from other customers jumped 31% in the same period.
Investors want to see whether that gap widens further today. Faster growth outside the largest cloud providers would ease concern about buyer concentration. It would show fewer buyers do not control Nvidia's entire data center business.
