Wells Fargo’s Gold Price Target For the End of 2026

Gold prices struggled to maintain their position above the $4,100 mark since March this year, as negotiations in the Middle East remained sketchy. Add to this the rising oil prices, which made the XAU/USD index trade cautiously, with barely any price spurts. However, things changed in August, as the precious metal spiked 7% in the last three weeks. The rebound made prices climb above the $4,300 level and remains on the greener side of the spectrum.

Leading global investment bank Wells Fargo has predicted that gold prices could end 2026 trading at $4,900. The XAU/USD index is currently trading at the $4,342 level on Wednesday with a brief surge of 0.18%. It just came close to being in the green year-to-date at -0.37%. The investment bank wrote in a note to clients that the glittery metal will see a bounce-back hereon. They also urged clients to take an entry position into the commodity, citing the market’s positive outlook.
