Will Bitcoin be in Trump Accounts?

The funniest moment of my trip to the Oval Office a couple of days ago: a reporter saw me walk in and immediately asked the President if Bitcoin was going to be part of Invest America (“Trump Accounts”). I didn't even have to raise my hand… But here's the thing – it's actually a great question, and I think the answer should eventually be yes. This is effectively a retirement account opened the day a child is born. The money is locked until 18, and after that the tax structure is built to keep it invested for decades. When your time horizon is that long, short-term volatility stops being a risk and starts being noise. That's exactly the environment where an asset like Bitcoin does its best work. You don't need a large allocation for it to matter. Even a small percentage, left alone to compound for 20 or 30 years, can meaningfully change the outcome. The entire premise of Invest America is to let time do the heavy lifting. Bitcoin plus a multi-decade time horizon is the most powerful version of that idea I can think of. I know it's not the consensus view yet.
