World Liberty Financial’s USD1 Goes Native on Canton for Institutional Settlement
World Liberty Financial announced this Tuesday the integration and native issuance of its USD1 stablecoin on Canton Network, a public blockchain specifically designed for regulated financial markets with built-in privacy. The asset, 100% backed and issued by BitGo Bank & Trust under OCC supervision, will act directly as the cash leg for institutional transactions and on-chain real-world asset (RWA) settlements.
.@WorldLibertyFi's U.S. dollar stablecoin, $USD1, is now natively issued on Canton.
It gives institutions a fully reserved dollar leg that settles atomically alongside the asset, under the same privacy and compliance controls these assets require.

This addition aims to resolve operational friction between tokenized assets and their corresponding payments, enabling 24/7 atomic and simultaneous settlements. With over $9 trillion in tokenized assets managed or processed monthly on Canton—including more than $350 billion daily in U.S. Treasuries—the availability of USD1 reduces liquidity buffer requirements and mitigates timing mismatch risks in financing, lending, and collateral operations.
