Aptos Integrates Circle’s CCTP V2 to Enable Near-Instant Native USDC Transfers
The Layer 1 network Aptos implemented Circle’s CCTP V2 protocol, enabling direct, near-instant native USDC transfers. Through the Inbound Fast Transfers feature, the arrival of the leading regulated stablecoin on the blockchain shifts from taking minutes to completing in a matter of seconds via a burn-and-mint mechanism.

Thanks to this update, wrapped tokens (wrapped assets) are no longer required, mitigating the risks of liquidity fragmentation and vulnerabilities associated with traditional bridges. Beyond accelerating cross-chain transactions, funds arrive with programmable capabilities, allowing developers and institutions to immediately automate treasury operations, arbitrage, and decentralized liquidity management.
