BRICS on Mission To Boost Trade With Southern African Countries

Several members of the BRICS alliance are signing new deals with southern African countries in a bid to boost bilateral trade. The latest is Brazil, where the Lula da Silva administration announced a Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) to organize business missions in the region. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will lead the talks with representatives and is scheduled to take place between 26 August and 2 September 2026, according to a report from Brazil 247.

Southern African Countries Gain Trade Deals With BRICS Members

BRICS member Brazil’s itinerary includes visits to South Africa, Zambia, Mozambique, and Ethiopia. The project aims to strengthen trade relations with the southern African nations and establish the presence of Brazilian companies in the region. The move will help South African countries receive business projects and help their economies. This makes foreign policy with the region friendly and extends ties to newer businesses. The bloc is actively seeking new partnerships and is mostly successful in its endeavors.
