Capital.com plans to launch spot cryptocurrency trading in the United Arab Emirates after securing a new federal virtual asset license. Its affiliate, Capital Vault UAE, received approval from the UAE Capital Market Authority on August 21. The authorization clears a regulatory path for eligible customers to buy and hold actual crypto assets.
Capital Vault License Opens Door to Spot Crypto Trading
The license allows Capital Vault UAE to deal in virtual assets as an agent or matching principal. It also permits the company to provide regulated custody services for eligible clients. Capital.com can add direct crypto ownership beside its existing leveraged trading products.
